DON'T look now, but Manny Pacquiao is all set for his PBA comeback.
The eight-division world champion who recently announced that he has 'unretired' as a boxer is all set to resume his pro basketball career after being activated by Mahindra from the injured reserve list.
The boxing icon was elevated to the Enforcers' active list in lieu of LA Revilla and is eligible to play in a PBA Governors Cup game against Alaska on Wednesday - less than two months after winning a seat in the Philippine Senate.
Revilla suffered a broken nose in practice on Monday, the team said.
If ever, the Mahindra playing coach will be playing in just the seventh of his two-year PBA career - and his first in close to nine months after going scoreless in a game against Alaska las November 6 where he logged six minutes and went scoreless on 0-of-4 shooting from the floor.
He scored the only basket of his career in the only other game he has played this season - a 94-108 Mahindra loss to Rain or Shine on October 25, 2015.
Pacquiao will be rejoining a Mahindra team that has won its first three games of the season, although he sat on the bench but didn't coach in the Enforcers' 105-103 victory over San Miguel last week. - SPIN Ph
