The future of clutch in the NBA is in terrific hands.
That much was made obvious by the near-perfect, under-pressure play of Tyus Jones, Denzel Valentine and Xavier Silas during Monday night's summer-league championship game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls.
First came the fearless shot from Jones with the game tied and less than 10 seconds in regulation remaining.
Despite being far behind the arc, the summer-league MVP lived up to his title and beat not only the shot clock but also double coverage to secure a three-point lead.
Valentine was not to be outdone, however.
He responded by draining his own deep ball, sending the game to overtime.
Later, when the T-Wolves found themselves down nearing the end of OT, Jones dished to Silas, who banked in a long three-pointer to tie the game once more.
Ultimately, however, it was Valentine who again prevailed.
After shaking his defender with an agile spin, he nailed the final shot of the game—securing the summer-league title for his team. - Bleacher Report
